Jennifer Jar first hit the scene six years ago with her 2000 Acura Integra GSR. I remember seeing her beautiful Integra at last year’s show where she placed first as the Hottest Female Ride at Hot Import Nights in Dulles. A year later I was fortunate enough to see her EVO at HIN in Dulles and the rest is history.
This 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a full blown, track ready, daily driving machine. It all started when she and her fiancé were talking about getting into road course driving. After searching for some track-prepped cars, a friend of theirs found this EVO for sale in Seattle, WA. With the price being right, and the custom cage already in place it was a great platform to begin working on. From there, she he immediately started to modify this EVO, starting with a set of Advan RS Wheels.
This car is set up for road course racing, and from what she tells me it is set up perfectly for this purpose. With that said, Jennifer’s EVO is no stranger to Virginia International Raceway. So far she has been three times this year for High Performance Driving Education. The only setback that she encountered for this build was fine tuning the suspension for the track. With a little professional advice the car has been squared away, and is now running without any issues.
Currently, Jennifer plans to continue to attend more HPDE events to get more seat time at the track, and to better her driving abilities. She plans on getting a bigger turbo and upgraded cams for more power, once she feels maxed out with the current setup.
When I asked her if she could ever sell this setup for a new build she surprised me by saying “Yes, I am always up for new projects!”
Jennifer Jar would like to thank her fiancé Terry Awad for being an inspiration to her. This build would not have been possible without his help.
